It is very important to me that I help local families and small communities in difficult financial situations through my work. I spend a part of the proceeds from the optional programs on their support.
So, by choosing me as their tour guide, my guests are also helping several families in need. We regularly deliver food and clothing to smaller Balinese settlements — not visited by tourists — where it is most needed.
My local colleagues, with whom I have been working for years and who have now become family members and friends, help me in this. Together with them, we work to ensure that my guests return home with experiences and a change in perspective that will accompany and help them throughout their lives.
In the fall of 2022, the Szilárd utakon incense was born. I spent a few weeks in Bali's spiritual center, Ubud, and was looking for a new place to stay. There are no coincidences when I entered the courtyard of this beautiful Balinese guest house, heavenly incense fragrance, a statue of Ganesha and a Balinese woman with extraordinary radiance, Widya was greeted.
We spent a lot of time together, and as I got to know her better, the scents she brought day after day got closer and closer to what I had imagined. Then one day she gave me a stick, she said she thought THIS WAS THE ONE! By then, we had already tried and tested dozens of incense sticks. But when we lit this one, my heart skipped a beat and I knew that this was really it. It was born, I found it, I lived with the scent, it inspired me until it burned out. Thus was born the Szilárd utakon incense stick.
Szeddalá is a magic word, or if you prefer, a mantra. Anyone who hears it will smile.Seddalá is a spell or, if you prefer, a mantra. Whoever hears it, his mouth curls into a smile.
Anyone who has traveled with me or knows me will confidently shout SZEDDALÁ!
This slogan comes from Anikó Póvik, my dear friend and soulmate. I heard it from her and I LOVED it right away. We started screaming together, and then I started using it in Bali. Szeddalá means laughter, strength, security and motivation to me! and I want it to give everyone this.
A few years later, the idea came to start a permanent charity campaign on Szilárd utakon. Since the beginning of my business, it has been very important to be able to help people in need and sick children. Since June 2022, we have been helping dozens of families regularly in Bali.
I think we should help and do charity, not only at Christmas, but every day of the year. Thanks to the fantastic creativity and work of my friend Márk Molnár, the image and logo were born, which turned into beautiful products: sweatshirts, T-shirts, mugs, bags, hats, baseball caps, water bottles. You can get the super cool stuff if you travel to Bali and choose me for your travel organization and tour guide. In addition, Szeddalá products will be available in Hungary twice a year by pre-order at info@szilardutakon.hu. info@szilardutakon.hu. We support the Care for Our Children Foundation with all proceeds.
A community of mothers raising disabled children has set a goal of developing a “supported housing” social service. In supported housing, their children can live in safe, humane conditions when they can no longer take care of them. Such a house would not operate as a nursing home, but would provide disabled children with the opportunity to live a full life. You can find more information at the link below, where you can also help directly with a financial donation.
I would like to helpI started my blog Szilárd utakon in 2017, during my first backpacking trip. Since then, I have been traveling everywhere in the world, sharing my experiences with my readers and followers. Over the past few years, I have given lectures at several travel festivals and in Vienna, and I am also regularly invited to appear in the Hungarian media (radio, TV, online portal, newspaper).
